Summer Summer Summer

Summertime...
it's here. The best time of the year. Sunshine & no
schedule. No homework. And less clothes. Especially
since it's already hit the triple digits down in Texas.
I just can't wait for a three week stay in Chicago at
the end of this month. I'm excited to truly experience
one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen.

I got this Maude cropped loose/sheer tank and sort of acid washed
pleated shorts at Langford Market (langformarket.com) and this is
my wonderful sister's Crochet Pocket Pendant from Free people.

Royal Wedding

Is there more to say?
how can you not love these two? I know it has nothing
to do with fashion. But believe me, when her dress is
finally shown, it will be. Just enjoy obsessing over
the fairytale romance of the 21st century.

Like Father like Daughter

The fun things in life...
I love my father. This might be my favorite picture of me and my
dad. Together we do embarrassing things, speak out of turn, and
it goes without saying, dress fabulously. Sometimes...
at Urban Outfitters. (fyi, he usually looks more normal)

Inspired

"I ain't ever seen no white boy
wearin a Dashiki before!"

This is in no way a racist comment. It was actually said directly to a friend of mine who

purchased a Dashiki (african tunic or shirt) from Goodwill the other day. The cashier was
amused by this odd purchase, it was one of those random finds that for some reason
you can't pass up. Even though he is planning on wearing it to school simply because
he lost a bet, it actually gave me an idea. And now I want one. Badly.
I can see one working perfectly with white shorts or pants.

Something I Wore

Something I wore..
I wore this to my school's annual Christmas Banquet.
Something that the administration of small private school believes
is the equivalent of a prom. But everyone one knows that just
because you have a party dress and a date does not mean that a
lame meal at a country club at 7 pm, which included a motivational
speaker, is in no way a prom. Despite this, I got to dress up,
even though in the life of a uniform wearing high schooler every
occasion other than class is a time to dress up, it was a little
treat.
I Purchased my dress at Neiman Marcus, it is Aiden Mattox and
falls around 5 inches above the knee, has bat sleeves, and cut
outs on the top of the sleeves. It is also completely covered in
sparkly beads and sequins, which is really the reason I bought it.
I'm sort of obsessed with sparkles, but not in a tacky way of
course! The shoes were a last minute-night-before-the-event steal.
Even though bought out of necessity and there weren't really any
other options, I ended up loving them. Who can hate a neutral
platform pump? Overall I think it was a success.
